Naujojo Yossi Bergo ir Oded Grafo šokio-muzikinio spektaklio pagrindas ir įkvėpimas – atotrūkis tarp to, kaip meilė pristatoma kultūroje, ir to, kaip ją iš tiesų išgyvena žmonės. Kūrinys yra sukonstruotas kaip trumpų istorijų serija, kurią sujungia intymumo ieškantys kūnai. Trys žmonės svyruoja tarp asmeninės nostalgijos ir kolektyvinės atminties, dainuoja ir šoka, kad užpildytų tuštumą tarp savęs ir išorinio pasaulio. Praeitis klajoja erdvėje tarsi vaiduoklis, nuolat keisdama formas ir persekiodama daina bei kūnuose įspausos atminties pėdsakais.
Šiame kūrinyje, kaip ir ankstesniuose savo darbuose, choreografai tęsia žmogaus patirčių temą. Ką reiškia būti žmogumi – mylėti, jaudintis, susimauti, svajoti, kažko ilgėtis, jausti, jog kažkam priklausai arba esi atstumtas. Kūrėjai siekia iškelti į paviršių tai, ko dažniausiai vengiame, kas neapibrėžta ir ką gali atskleisti tik menas.
????? ???? ?? ???? ???? yra choreografai, šokėjai, meno vadovai ir tarptautinės grupės „Yossi Berg & Oded Graf Dance Theatre“ (įkurta 2005 m.) įkūrėjai. Po neįtikėtinai sėkmingos asmeninės karjeros (Batsheva šokio trupėje, DV8 fiziniame teatre ir kt.) šis dinamiškas duetas užsitarnavo reputaciją kurdamas nepaprastai fizinius, provokuojančius ir jaudinančius šokio spektaklius. Y.Berg ir O.Graf siūlo naują žvilgsnį į šokį ir kviečia atvirai tyrinėti spektaklį. Jų trupė gastroliuoja prestižiškiausiuose pasaulio festivaliuose, tame tarpe: „Montpellier Danse“, „American Dance Festival“, „The Joyce Theatre NYC“, „DansensHus Stockholm“, Pietų Korėjos „SIDance“. Jie taip pat kuria operos teatrams ir yra pelnę daugybę choreografijos apdovanojimų. Jie yra buvę „Aerowaves“ menininkais; įvertinti baleto meistro Alberto Gaubier fondo Danijoje, Schustermano fondo JAV, Izraelio kultūros ministerijos apdovanojimu kaip išskirtiniai choreografai ir Rosenblumo prizu už meninį meistriškumą. Choreografų repertuarą sudaro 10 ilgos trukmės ir daug trumpametražių kūrinių. Be veiklos trupėje, nuo 2020 m. Odedas Grafas yra festivalio „Curtain Up“ meno vadovas, o Yossi Berg - „The Danceworkshop Gaaton“ meno vadovas. Jie aktyviai dėsto visame pasaulyje, daugiausia dėmesio skirdami jauniesiems šokėjams. Trupė filmavosi filme LET'S DANCE! ARTE kanalui ir pristatyta įvairiuose leidiniuose, įskaitant „The Weizmann International Magazine of Science“ ir „The New York Times“. The gap between the way love is presented in culture and the way it is experienced by individuals is the basis and inspiration for Berg and Graf’s new dance-musical-performance. The work is constructed as a series of short stories connected by a body that is in search of intimacy. Three people oscillate between personal nostalgia and collective memory, sing and dance to fill the gap between their inner world and the one outside. The past wanders around the space like a ghost, putting on and taking of the shape of songs that haunt you, and of bodies whose tangible memory has been imprinted on you.
In this new piece, as in their previous works, Yossi Berg and Oded Graf continue their exploration of the essence of what it means to be human – to love, to get excited, to fail, to dream, to long for something, to belong and to be estranged. They would like to surface that which is evasive and undefined, and whose edges only art can touch.
????? ???? & ???? ???? are choreographers, dancers, artistic directors, and founders of the International group Yossi Berg & Oded Graf Dance Theatre. They established their group in 2005 after having successful individual careers with companies including Batsheva Dance Company and DV8 Physical Theatre and have built a reputation for creating supremely physical, provocative, and poignant dance works. Their company tours extensively in prestigious festivals around the world including Montpellier Danse, American Dance Festival, The Joyce Theater NYC, DansensHus Stockholm, SIDance South Korea, to name but a few; they create for opera houses and won numerous choreography awards. Yossi & Oded offer new ways of looking at dance and exploring performance. They have been selected artists by Aerowaves in European, Ballet Master Albert Gaubier’s Foundation in Denmark, The Schusterman Foundation in the U.S.; and received Israel's Ministry of Culture Award for Outstanding Choreographers and the Rosenblum Prize for Artistic Excellence in the Performing Arts. The choreographers’ rich repertory includes 10 evening length works and many short works. The company was featured in the movie LET’S DANCE! for ARTE channel and in various publications including ​The “Weizmann International Magazine of Science” and ​“The New York Times”. In addition to their company activity, since 2020 Oded Graf is the artistic director of the ‘Curtain Up’ festival and Yossi Berg is artistic director of The Danceworkshop Gaaton. They teach extensively around the world, focusing on the next generation of dancers.
